Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Maintain an effective credit risk management framework for early identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and reporting of credit risks
Ensure customer and conduct outcomes align with lending and credit policies through oversight and challenge of first line processes and controls
Support compliance with all relevant organisational, credit, and business policies by creating and monitoring a robust suite of assurance measures
Review credit policies in line with organisational, legislative, and regulatory requirements
Provide assurance to senior management that control-based activities comply with standards and that all risks are reported and authorised
Manage relationships between the function and bank-wide credit risk teams, as well as other policy framework standard owners
Deliver business-as-usual and project objectives in line with milestones and terms of reference, effectively managing colleagues and resources

Required Skills and Experience

Strong experience and understanding of credit risk management principles, processes, and regulatory requirements
In-depth knowledge of regulations applicable to mortgages and consumer credit
Proven experience working effectively with management and teams across an organisation
Knowledge of risk management and control processes relevant to a financial services environment
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
