Credit Manager

Job Location - Chembur, Mumbai

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the creditworthiness of potential clients.
• Manage the credit approval process, including conducting credit assessments and making recommendations for credit limits.
• Monitor and review existing customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to resolve credit-related issues and improve cash flow.
• Prepare regular reports on credit performance, delinquency rates, and risk exposure for senior management.
• Conduct training for staff on credit policies and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in credit management or related roles, preferably in the financial services or banking sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and credit reports.
• Proficiency in credit assessment tools and software, as well as Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of credit risk management principles and regulatory requirements in India.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
