Cost Management Accountant

As a Cost Management Accountant (CMA), your role will involve specializing in analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing product costs across the company's portfolio. You should be a detail-oriented and analytical professional capable of dissecting every aspect of product costing, from raw materials to packaging and logistics, to identify opportunities for cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed product cost sheets encompassing raw materials, packaging, labor, overheads, and logistics. - Maintain accurate costing data for all SKUs and update them as per supplier or process modifications. - Evaluate Bill of Materials (BOM) and production cost flows to pinpoint inefficiencies. - Assist the finance controller in pricing analysis and margin enhancement. Cost Analysis & Control: - Monitor and analyze cost variances on a monthly basis, offering insights on cost fluctuations. - Identify potential cost-saving areas in sourcing, manufacturing, and operations. - Establish and execute standard cost systems for consistent reporting and monitoring. - Generate cost comparison and variance analysis reports for management review. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to validate costing assumptions. - Participate in vendor cost evaluations and support negotiations with data-driven insights. - Assist in audits, budget preparation, and internal control reviews related to cost management. Qualifications & Skills: - Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification is mandatory. - 2-4 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, cost analysis, or management accounting, preferably within D2C, FMCG, or E-commerce sectors. - Strong grasp of cost structures, variance analysis, and cost control methodologies. - Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and costing systems; exposure to ERP or MIS tools is a plus. - Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.,
