Job Description

As an Estimation Engineer Ship Repair, your primary responsibility will be to prepare accurate and competitive quotations for shipping companies based on provided specifications. You will be involved in cost estimation, tender preparation, and coordination with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and precise proposal submissions. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents according to client specifications and technical requirements. - Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to create precise estimates. - Coordinate with the Estimation Manager and project teams to address all technical and commercial aspects. - Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to collect cost inputs for materials, equipment, and services. - Update estimation data to reflect changes in project scope or requirements. - Ensure that all estimations meet company standards and client expectations. Qualifications and Experience: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture (preferred). - Minimum 7 years of experience in estimation, tendering, or related functions within the shipbuilding or marine industry. - Previous experience in Cochin Shipyard or similar ship repair companies is highly desirable. - Strong analytical and communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools. In addition to the above requirements, candidates with a background in Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Marine, or Offshore Engineering are preferred for this role.
