Cost Accountant

Role & responsibilities

Develop and maintain cost accounting system based on the organization requirements.

2. Produce periodical i.e. weekly, bi-weekly production and variance reports.

3. Review and analyze standard/budgeted costs and actual costs for variances and prepare reports.

4. Periodical review of the Bill of Materials (BOMs) with actual costs.

5. Prepare monthly gross margin and variable cost format analysis by customer, product group and part numbers.

6. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine effects on costs.

7. Study and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor and power consumption.

8. Prepare periodic review of inventory regarding obsolete, excess inventory, inventory turnover ratio etc.

9. Assist in month-end and year-end closing by analyzing inventory and preparing supplemental reports as needed.

10. Work on special projects as required.

Proficiency in Excel, experience in manipulating large databases a plus.

2. Significant hands-on experience using an integrated ERP system. Experience of working on Oracle R12 would be added advantage

3. Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory and cost accounting

4. Understanding of Ind AS as it applies to a manufacturing environment is desirable.

5. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

6. Extraordinary interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments.

7. Must be a team player who also works well independently.

8. Must be able to analyze data, draw conclusions, interpret results, and make recommendations
