Position Overview

We are looking for a Cosmetic R&D Professional who will lead and support the research, formulation, and development of personal care and cosmetic products
This role requires a strong foundation in cosmetic chemistry, innovation-driven thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and regulatory

Key Responsibilities

Develop and formulate new cosmetic, skincare, and oral care products in line with customer briefs and market trends
Conduct stability testing, compatibility studies, and performance evaluations Modify existing formulations to improve performance, reduce cost, or meet regulatory changes Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to brainstorm innovative product ideas Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards (FDA, BIS, etc) Prepare technical documentation including formula sheets, product specifications, and safety data Research and evaluate raw materials from vendors and suppliers Support scale-up trials in production and provide technical guidance during manufacturing

Qualifications & Skills

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field
Certifications in Cosmetic Formulation or GMP Compliance are a plus

Hard Skills:

Strong knowledge of cosmetic formulation and raw material functionality
Proficient in laboratory practices and equipment handling Understanding of regulatory and safety standards in the cosmetics industry Familiarity with emulsions, gels, lotions, serums, pastes, and oral care base types

Soft Skills:

Creative and curious mindset with a passion for innovation
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Excellent communication and documentation skills Team player with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Experience

2-5 years of relevant experience in cosmetic or personal care product formulation
Experience in Private Label / Contract Manufacturing setup is highly desirable Proven track record of successful product launches and R&D project management
