Our SR-IOV / PowerVM codebase uses C++ primarily for polymorphism via virtual functions and inheritance, while operating directly on raw memory, registers, and hex dumps. We do not use STL, exceptions, RTTI, or hidden allocations. The training must deeply cover virtual dispatch internals, inheritance-driven design for hardware abstraction, ABI stability, placement new, and debugging.
