Corporate Legal Manager - Powai

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Drafting, reviewing and finalizing legal deeds, documents, agreements, MoUs, and contracts, relating to financial and banking transactions, capital raise, borrowings, investments, IT & Cyber Security and related regulatory matters
• Providing legal support to cross-functional teams i.e. business, operations, finance, risk, compliance, HR, IT and secretarial
• Liaise with external legal counsels, statutory auditors, and regulators.
• Attending litigation matters and co-ordinating with Advocates and drafting/ reviewing of documents for legal proceedings.
• Advising internal stakeholders on corporate legal matters and risk mitigation.
• Maintaining and updating litigation database, legal contracts, agreements and related documents.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in handling legal matters with a scheduled commercial bank or RBI Registered NBFC.
• Exposure to drafting of agreements relating to financial transactions, capital raise, borrowings, due diligence, stressed assets, IT & Cyber Security, vendor management and related regulatory matters
• Exposure in engaging with law firms on litigation, arbitration, negotiated settlements and other related court proceedings
• Providing the management strategic direction to enhance the business and commercial interest of the Company, and aid in risk minimization

Skills:

• Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams i.e. business, finance, risk, compliance, HR, IT and secretarial.
• Eye for detail and ability to multi tasks under deadlines
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills
• Good at analysing situations, providing solutions and negotiation skills.
• Expert in use of Word, Excel and Power point presentation.
