Job Description

As a Corporate Commodity Engineer (f/m/d) (CCE) for Aluminium at Siemens, you will play a crucial role in defining the strategic and technological direction of aluminium components across the company. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with global Business Units and suppliers to shape the future of Siemens" material strategy. Here is what you can expect as part of our team: - 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard - Development opportunities for both personal and professional growth - 30 leave days and flexible working models for a healthy work-life balance - Share matching programs to become a shareholder of Siemens AG - Appealing Siemens pension benefits In your role, you will create an impact by: - Serving as a recognized technology and material expert for aluminium - Analyzing supplier capabilities, market dynamics, and technology trends - Defining and implementing actions aligned with Sustainability, Productivity, and Resilience - Driving preventive supplier quality strategies and developing material roadmaps - Leading and consulting a global network of Business Units - Scouting and evaluating new suppliers and recommending preferred partners - Identifying and promoting supplier innovations in collaboration with engineering, quality, and procurement teams - Leading cost and value optimization initiatives across the supply chain To excel in this role, you should have: Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Experience & Skills: - Professional experience in product development, strategic procurement, or supplier quality with a focus on aluminium - Expertise in cost analysis, project management, and supplier development - Strong market intelligence and strategic insights - International exposure and intercultural competence are advantageous Ways of working: - Strategic and systemic thinking with analytical strength - Creative problem-solving in cross-functional contexts - Proactive and enterprise-first mindset Personal qualities: - Clear communication of technical concepts to diverse stakeholders - Courage in decision-making and acting with ownership - Passion for driving change and innovation - Value diversity of perspectives and actively foster it Languages: - Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
