Corporate Accountant

As a Corporate Accountant at our company, your main responsibility will be to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. You will also handle direct and indirect tax compliance according to Indian statutory rules. Collaboration with other departments to acquire timely and accurate information is crucial for contributing to the efficiency of the global accounting and tax organization. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance and accuracy by following Indian GAAP guidelines for accounting transactions and processes. This involves maintaining precise and compliant general ledger details through activities like journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation. - Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., receivables, prepaid expenses, inventory, accruals) while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance in the general ledger. - Utilize expertise in SAP ERP Accounting and related modules to enhance financial management efficiency and effectiveness. - Supervise GST return filings, tax audits, and withholding tax compliance to promptly address assessments. - Review and approve employee claims submitted via Concur, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory compliance. - Validate distributor claims, reconcile chargeback points, and ensure accurate settlements based on agreed terms. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred. - CA designation (or in progress) is desirable. - Possess 3-4 years of experience in accounting, tax, or a related field. - Strong systems skills with 1-2 years of SAP and Compliance module experience. - Thorough understanding of Indian Standards. - Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). - Enthusiastic and results-oriented individual with a drive for continuous improvement in business and financial processes. - Uphold the highest degree of integrity and ethical standards. - Excellent interpersonal skills and a keenness to collaborate as a team player. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, actively seeking feedback and transmitting information accurately. - Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, diligence, and good judgment.,
