Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chinese Cook with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in preparing authentic and fusion-style Indian Chinese cuisine. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, demonstrate expertise in wok cooking, and maintain consistency and quality in line with Flurys’ standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian Chinese dishes (starters, gravies, noodles, fried rice, soups, etc.) according to standard recipes.
  • Ensure taste, texture, portioning, and presentation are consistent with brand quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
  • Accurately measure, chop, marinate, and cook ingredients as per production requirements.
  • Operate and manage woks, fryers, grills, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support the kitchen team in menu planning, trials, and new dish development.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and stock control to minimize wastage.
  • Ensure timely preparation of orders, especially during rush hours.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow cooks, stewards, and the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Commis specializing in Indian Chinese cuisine in a restaurant, hotel, or food production setup.
  • Strong knowledge of wok cooking techniques, sauces, gravies, and Indo-Chinese flavors.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good understanding of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or Food Production preferred.
  • Candidates with strong hands-on skills and relevant experience may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
