Core Responsibilities: Menu Development & Planning: Creating new recipes, developing menus, and ensuring they align with the establishment's concept, budget, and seasonal ingredients. Food Preparation & Cooking: Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and other specialty items. Kitchen Management: Supervising kitchen staff, delegating tasks, ensuring smooth kitchen operations, and maintaining a high standard of food quality. Inventory Management & Ordering: Monitoring food stock levels, placing orders for ingredients and supplies, and managing inventory to minimize waste. Ensuring Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed. Training & Staff Development: Training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices. Quality Control: Tasting and inspecting dishes before they are served, ensuring they meet the required standards of taste, presentation, and quality. Staying Updated on Trends: Keeping up with the latest culinary trends, new ingredients, and cooking techniques. Working with Suppliers: Building relationships with vendors and suppliers to source high-quality ingredients. Cost Management: Managing food costs and adhering to budgets.
