Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Barista to join our team at [Coffee Shop Name]. The Senior Barista will be responsible for delivering exceptional coffee and beverage experiences to our customers while also overseeing the operational aspects of the coffee shop. This role involves leadership, training, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Coffee Preparation and Presentation Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to company recipes and standards. Ensure quality control by regularly checking the taste, texture, and presentation of all drinks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment. Customer Service Greet and interact with customers warmly, addressing their needs and preferences. Handle customer complaints and concerns efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction. Provide recommendations based on customer preferences and menu knowledge. Training and Mentorship Train new baristas on proper techniques, company standards, and customer service. Mentor junior staff, providing ongoing support and feedback to help them improve their skills. Inventory Management Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Order and restock inventory as needed to ensure smooth operations. Conduct regular inventory checks and manage waste reduction. Equipment Maintenance Ensure all coffee-making equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition. Report and coordinate repairs or replacements for faulty equipment. Team Leadership Lead shifts, ensuring all staff are performing their roles effectively and efficiently. Coordinate with management to implement policies and procedures. Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing time-off requests. Quality Control and Improvement Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and beverage recipes. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good organizational and multitasking skills. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory. Problem-solving abilities to address customer complaints and operational issues. Previous barista experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role. Working Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle equipment and supplies.
