Controls Engineer

Craftsman Automation Limited is currently expanding its Technology Development team and is seeking a dynamic professional to join in maintaining excellence and fostering innovation in Craftsman Storage. We are in search of a Controls Engineer specializing in PLC, VFD, HMI, and SCADA Programming. The job title and designation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and exposure level. The ideal candidate should possess 2 to 10 years of relevant experience and hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, or a related field. This position falls under the Technology Development Division and is open at locations in Coimbatore, Chennai, and Pune within the Storage system & Warehouse automation industry. As a Controls Engineer at Craftsman Automation Limited, you will be tasked with designing, testing, and implementing control systems that align with customer requirements in the intralogistics and warehouse automation domain. Proficiency in programming Siemens, Allen Bradley, Codesys PLC, drives, and HMI is essential. An added advantage would be experience in warehouse automation, Siemens PLC -STL, FB programming, and SEW drives. The role will also involve traveling to customer sites for design approvals, installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. Key Qualifications: - 2 to 10 years of experience in programming Siemens, Allen Bradley, Codesys, SEW PLC, and Drives. - Familiarity with warehouse automation, Siemens PLC -STL, FB programming, and SEW drives. - Proficiency in testing codes using simulation tools and methodologies with proper documentation. - Strong grasp of PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text. - Knowledge in HMI/SCADA systems and communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA, S7- Comm, EtherCAT, CAN /S-bus. - Ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams effectively. - Sound understanding of electrical and electronics fundamentals. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
