Control Engineer- PLC Programmer/Chennai

Role & responsibilities

The Control Service Engineer is responsible for providing timely and effective customer support for electrical and automation systems, including troubleshooting, on-site visits, and planned maintenance. This role involves cross-functional coordination, technical documentation, and supporting system modifications to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer service calls and provide timely remote or on-site support.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electrical and automation systems.
  
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance activities on customer machinery.
  
• Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and lessons learned documentation for breakdowns.
  
• Coordinate with suppliers for material status and rework support.
  
• Provide on-site support for electrical/control engineering tasks and modifications.
  
• Collaborate with design teams for implementing system upgrades or modifications.
  
• Support commissioning, optimization, and warranty-related customer concerns.
  
• Manage service requests and ensure timely closure of customer complaints.
  

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, Servo, and Vision systems.
  
• Proficiency in control systems and automation technologies.
  
• Experience in SPM assembly and troubleshooting.
  
• Knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes, materials, and heat treatment.
  
• Familiarity with technical documentation and BOM preparation.
  
• Understanding RFQ study and part specification finalization
