Job Description

Contracts Engineer Role : Perform the role of Contracts Engineer for the Company from the pre tendering stage to award of Contract and Contract Closure for the awarded Project, as an asset owner at site. Responsibilities : A contract/procurement engineer must possess a diverse set of skills and qualifications to manage complex projects efficiently. The responsibilities of Contracts/Procurement Engineer shall include, but are not limited to the following • RFQ (Request for Quotation)/Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) document for project • Ensure the Annexures are attached to RFQ/NIT • Identification of Bidders for Specific Project from Master Contractor List • Bid Evaluation/Preparation of Comparative Statement for Bids received • Managing Budgetary Quotations • General Conditions of Contract • Pre-Bid meetings with Bidders • Contractual Correspondences (pre bid and post award stage) • Contract Closure, Settlement of Disputes. Duties • Preparation of Request for Quotation (RFQ)/Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) for projects • Ensure all Annexures as per Project Operating Procedure are attached with RFQ/NIT • Evaluation of Bids and compilation of Statement of Deviations • Preparing Comparative Statement for the Bids received toward the Project • Maintaining Master Contractor List (Zone wise) • Contractual Correspondences (drafting pre bid and post award) • Drafting of Letter of Intent/Work Orders • Managing Budgetary Quotations • Organizing meeting with Potential Bidders (pre bidding stage) • Recommendation of Liquidated Damages based on documentary evidences due to delay by Contractors. Qualification & Experience 1. B.TECH / BE in Mechanical Engineering 2. 8 to 13 years experience in management of Tendering & Contracts in Oil & Gas industry (out of which preferably at least 2-3 years experience in PMC/asset owner). 3. Awareness of statutory requirements in accordance to Indian Contract Act and Governing Laws. 4. Familiar with Contract Risk Mitigations 5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Req. Skills 1. Commercial Acumen with Market Intelligence 2. Sound Knowledge in Contractual Terms 3. Proficient in oral and written communication 4. Strong analytical skills & understanding of total system cost concept 5. Effective negotiation, advocacy & influencing skills 6. Sound Knowledge in SAP based Contract Management.
