Job Description

The Continental Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality continental dishes following standard recipes and hotel guidelines. The role includes handling a variety of European cuisines such as Italian, French, and Mediterranean, ensuring taste, presentation, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of continental dishes such as pasta, steaks, grills, soups, sauces, and salads.
Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines set by the Executive Chef.
Ensure all food is prepared and served to the highest quality standards.
Maintain mise-en-place (food preparation) before each service.
Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in kitchen operations and menu planning.
Monitor food stock levels and report shortages in time.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
Minimize food waste through proper portion control and storage.
Support in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
Ensure smooth coordination with the service team for timely delivery of dishes.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Continental Cook / Commis / Demi Chef in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
Strong knowledge of continental cooking techniques, ingredients, and plating styles.
Culinary diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
Understanding of kitchen hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
