Content Lead

You will be responsible for creating engaging and concise food and beverage (F&B) content for Instagram, focusing on local culinary experiences, trends, and unique dishes in Kolkata. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the production team and post-production to ensure that the written content aligns seamlessly with visual elements. It is essential to stay attuned to Kolkata's ever-evolving food scene, ranging from street food stalls to upscale restaurants, and translate these experiences into engaging written content. Additionally, you will be required to attend food events, tastings, and restaurant openings to gather first-hand information for posts. Maintaining relationships with various stakeholders of the F&B industry, such as PR and Marketing teams, Brand teams, Chefs, and Owners, is crucial. You must adhere to a consistent posting schedule and content calendars to ensure regular and timely updates on Instagram. Active engagement with followers to foster a sense of community and responding to comments is also part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with the internal team to brainstorm creative concepts and campaigns that resonate with the target audience is expected. Your participation in content planning meetings to contribute fresh ideas and strategies for optimizing Instagram engagement will be valuable. Monitoring Instagram analytics to track the performance of different types of posts and adapting strategies accordingly is essential. Adapting writing style to suit various Instagram formats, such as carousel posts, Stories, and Reels, is also a part of your role. The ideal candidate for this position should have a passion for food and a deep understanding of Kolkata's culinary landscape. A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing for social media platforms, particularly Instagram, is required. Strong communication skills, a keen eye for grammar and language nuances, and the ability to craft clear and concise storylines or messages are essential.
