Job Description

Position Title: Content Editor

The Content Editor will support the Content Manager in communicating our mission, product value, and the voice of our brand to the outdoor community through high-impact content that drives traffic to our SaaS sites and marketplace.

This role involves close collaboration with the Content Manager and a team of writers to deliver high-quality, brand-aligned content across multiple formats and platforms. The ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, an eye for detail, and a deep interest in digital content, SEO, and outdoor space.

Responsibilities:

Write and edit SEO-optimized content, including blog articles, product descriptions, landing pages, guides, video scripts and supers, copy and creative content, emails, etc.

Work closely with the Content Manager to maintain and execute the content calendar

Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other internal teams to create high-performance, on-brand, informative content

Review and edit content submissions from freelance or in-house writers to ensure accuracy, tone, grammar and optimum performance

Research and propose content ideas based on user behavior, industry trends, keyword data, competitor analysis, etc.

Assist in publishing and formatting content on content management systems such as WordPress

Ensure all content follows brand voice, tone, and style guidelines

Monitor content performance metrics and apply insights to improve engagement and SEO

Maintain a consistent output of fresh and valuable content under tight deadlines

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

5+ years of experience in content writing or editing, ideally in tech, SaaS, or outdoor-focused industries

Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices

Excellent grammar, proofreading, editing, writing, and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail

Demonstrated ability to write clear, compelling, and engaging content with a proven track record of excellent content performance

Experience with CMS tools like WordPress

Basic familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Clearscope

Working knowledge of content performance analytics and the ability to interpret basic performance metrics.

Ability to manage multiple content projects and meet deadlines in a hybrid team environment

Comfortable receiving feedback and working under the guidance of a Content Manager
