- Act as the lead Social Expert on projects, focusing on Social Safeguards Commitment Plan (SSCP), Social Impact Assessment (SIA), Social Safeguards Management Plan (SMP), Resettlement Action Plan (RAP), Gender Action Plan (GAP), and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS).
- Manage the delivery of major international ESDD, ESMS, identify mitigation measures, prepare E&S management plans, and provide E&S monitoring and performance services on major international projects.
- Define corrective action plans and measures for follow-up verification, conducting high-level verification of on-site stakeholder management through meetings and discussions.
- Provide assistance to clients in meeting international lender standards and advise on international best practices in social performance.
- Support the development and implementation of social and environmental management systems, demonstrating capabilities with minimal supervision.
- Guide and mentor junior colleagues, sharing specialist knowledge with the broader Global Advisory team.
- Compile analysis and prepare deliverables to contribute to the completion of multiple engagement phases of a project.
- Support sustainability and decarbonization related project activities.
- Deliver work through well-written and succinct reports and presentations to clients.
- Provide technical support to various team members to identify and manage social risks.
- Demonstrate capabilities with low level of supervision.
- Support proposal development activities under the supervision of project and proposal management professionals.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant subject such as Social Science or similar.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in social roles for infrastructure projects, including power and oil & gas.
- Excellent English speaking and report writing skills, with the ability to work with multi-cultural teams across different time zones and in a virtual setting.
- Good communication skills and personal presence for client interactions, along with willingness to travel and multitask to meet tight timelines while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of international Social safeguards, E&S standards, including Equators Principles, IFC Performance Standards, EBRD Performance Requirements, and World Bank EHS Guidelines.
- Ability to keep up to date with the latest developments, regulations, and standards in the ESG space.
- Proficiency in delivering work through well-written and succinct reports and presentations to clients.
