Consultant - Project Finance Specialist

As a Consultant - Project Finance Specialist at WSP India, your primary role will be to support project managers in managing project finances for GCC Australia Mining Central Sustaining Capital projects. Working collaboratively with a motivated team in Australia, you will deliver high-quality capital analysis services, build relationships with project managers, and ensure compliance with project management frameworks and financial policies. Your responsibilities will include tracking, analyzing, and reconciling project costs, overseeing financial transactions, maintaining financial documentation for audits, and providing financial guidance to project teams. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality capital analysis services for GCC AU mining infrastructure projects - Build relationships with Project managers and provide comprehensive project financial analysis - Track, analyze, and reconcile actuals, forecasts, and committed costs for mining projects - Ensure compliance with established project management frameworks and organizational financial policies - Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate financial documentation - Take ownership of accurate project finance setups, invoicing, and updates - Serve as a key liaison between Project, Operations, Finance, and PMO teams - Provide financial process guidance and governance expertise to project managers - Operate and maintain project control tools to monitor and manage financial data effectively - Drive enhancements to financial tracking templates and reporting processes - Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis and financial risk identification - Partner with project and finance teams to deliver accurate and timely financial operations Qualifications: - Masters or bachelors degree in finance or business administration - 6-12 years of experience in project controlling, preferably within infrastructure or industrial projects - Proficiency in financial tools, ERP systems, and regulatory compliance requirements - Excellent organizational, reporting, and communication skills - Desired skills include valuable experience in project finance, flexibility in handling multiple tasks, attention to detail, and familiarity with analytics tools About WSP: WSP is a leading professional services consulting firm dedicated to providing technical expertise and strategic advisory services in various sectors.
