Consultant - Personal property valuation

As a Real Estate/Capital Equipment Valuation Analyst, your role involves analyzing fixed asset registers, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and asset classing. You will independently prepare/update valuation models and reports for Capital Equipment, Personal Property, and Plant & Equipment. Setting up integrated valuation models and preparing sections of valuation reports based on client FAR and inputs provided by the engagement team are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will review third-party valuation/management reports for reasonableness and conduct market research to estimate replacement costs, useful lives, and depreciation techniques for various machinery and equipment types. Staying updated on business, economic, and regulatory developments relevant to clients is crucial. You will also review the work of/guide team members and build professional relationships with onshore teams through project work. Qualifications required for this position include a CA/CFA/MBA (Specialization in Finance & Investment Management) degree. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate/capital equipment valuation roles. A good understanding of capital equipment valuation concepts and methodologies (income, market, indirect, and direct cost approaches) is essential. Mandatory technical and functional skills for this role include: - Command over accounting and financial statements analysis - Knowledge of relevant local GAAP or IFRS standards - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills - Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) - Experience in using research databases like MVS, ASA, LBS, and Eurostat,
