Kala Bahia is not a traditional restaurant — it’s an event-driven cultural space by the beach, hosting cinema nights, live concerts, markets, and community gatherings. Our food offering supports this creative energy, focusing on sharing plates, brunch culture, and bar snacks rather than fine dining.

What we need:

• Tapas / Sharing Plates:

• Rework a few classics from last season (arancini, bruschette, sgabeo, tempura, etc.) and add fresh, creative dishes for rotation.

• Breakfast & Brunch:

• 5–6 vegetarian dishes that are healthy, Instagrammable, and designed to complement a strong coffee program.

• Bar Bites:

• A small menu of 4 quick, bulk-prep snacks that pair well with drinks (e.g. masala peanuts, veggie crisps, spiced popcorn).

Deliverables:

• Menu proposals (tapas, brunch, bar bites).
• Recipe cards, plating guidelines, and costings.
• Team training to ensure consistency and independence.

Who we’re looking for:

• A chef with

  consultancy or menu development experience

  .
• Creative, but practical — able to design dishes that are

  beautiful, cost-effective, and easy for a team to replicate

  .
• Someone who understands the

  event/cultural space vibe

  rather than a traditional fine dining kitchen.
