Role Overview: As a Consultant, Category Cost Down (Electromechanics) at Danfoss, you will be instrumental in driving cost competitiveness within the electromechanical supply base. Your main focus will involve combining technical teardown, should-costing, and market intelligence to identify and deliver cost-down opportunities that enhance business performance and supplier collaboration. Additionally, you will contribute to decarbonization efforts to ensure sustainable practices align with cost leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Lead teardowns, reverse engineering, and BOM generation for purchased electromechanical components to discover cost-down opportunities - Prepare and review should-cost analysis and present validated opportunities to Category/BU Procurement for execution - Monitor and oversee cost-down initiatives to guarantee adoption, feedback, and continuous enhancement - Develop and manage the cost-down pipeline by identifying new opportunities and contributing to existing and new product cost-down projects - Utilize market intelligence and industry best practices to reinforce the reliability of cost analysis and decision-making Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering - 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating a successful track record in cost analysis of electromechanical components such as transformers, chokes, filters, wiring harnesses, fans, PCB/A, connectors - Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T, as well as conducting teardown/reverse engineering - Familiarity with should-costing tools like aPriori, TCPCM, or similar systems - Proven ability to achieve cost savings through product cost management principles - Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working in a global and interdisciplinary setting - Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple complex projects independently while embracing a One Danfoss mindset Company Additional Details: The TALENTMATE Portal aims to streamline the recruitment process by providing a centralized platform for professionals seeking job opportunities or potential employers.
