Computer Operator (Data Entry)

Key responsibilities

• Data input and management: Accurately entering information from source documents, such as applications, forms, or files, into computer systems.
• Data verification and correction: Reviewing entered data for errors or inconsistencies and correcting them to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Record keeping: Maintaining and updating databases, records, and filing systems.
• Data compilation: Compiling, sorting, and verifying the accuracy of data before input.
• Reporting: Generating reports and retrieving data as requested by other departments or clients.
• Confidentiality: Handling and protecting sensitive company information with integrity.
• Clerical tasks: Performing administrative duties like filing, scanning, and printing documents as required.

Required skills

• Typing speed and accuracy: Excellent typing skills and a high degree of accuracy are essential.
• Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail to spot and correct errors effectively.
• Computer proficiency: Familiarity with computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite (like Excel) and database management systems.
• Organizational skills: Good organizational and time management skills to manage workload efficiently.
