Introduction:
As a communications specialist you will be responsible for supporting internal and external communications at GlobalFoundries India.
You will own and execute day-to-day communications with employees and create inspiring campaigns to strengthen internal engagement and alignment. You will contribute to building the GF brand in the local ecosystem, leveraging multiple channels including print and social media, events and other external-facing opportunities. You will extend communication support to leadership, cascading messages, aligning strategy and building a sense of belonging. As a growing organization, with changes, opportunities and challenges, communications will play a vital role in bringing together the teams and keeping them inspired to deliver great work
Your Job :
Internal communications:

Work closely with the manager to help design and deliver internal campaigns that inform, inspire, and align employees.

Help execute campaigns that help foster a culture of innovation at GF India, reinforcing the tech focus of the site
-
Help execute communication initiatives that ensure strategic alignment of local teams with GF s global and local goals
-
Ensure global campaigns across depts are rolled out seamlessly with clear messaging and flawless execution
-
Help support drafting newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, and intranet content
-
Support onsite employee engagement events, all-hands and other sessions/ talks
-
Develop seamless and easy ways for employees to access information that supports their growth and success on Learning Development, benefits, Employee Resource Groups etc.

Support change management initiatives with clear, empathetic communication
-
Collaborate with teams, have a keen eye to identify stories/ opportunities to build employee engagement
-
Help foster a culture of transparency and two-way communication
-
Bring creativity to campaigns, experiment with new channels and mediums to resonate with a young demographic
-
Measure/ track metrics to assess impact of internal communication campaigns and initiatives and course correct where needed
External Communications
-
Support media outreach initiatives to enhance brand visibility across traditional and digital platforms.

Work with relevant teams to enhance GF India brand visibility at key industry and tech conferences
-
Support the drafting of press releases, op-eds, media kits.

Monitor media coverage
-
Create and maintain a press office kit photos, bios
-
Create and maintain GF India specific collateral flyers, one-pager etc.
Social Media
-
Own and evolve our social media voice across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram); ensure cadence of posting, and consistent increase in reach and engagement
-
Plan and publish engaging content that drives awareness, engagement, and community growth.

Track performance metrics and optimize content based on insights and trends.

Create engaging social media content (videos, reels etc.
Skills/ Capabilities :
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Proficiency in digital media and platforms; ability to shoot and edit simple videos essentially create video content, manage social media platforms, work on SharePoint etc.

Experience working on Canva or similar tools to design infographics, mailers etc.
