Reports To: Site Manager / Project Manager
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the testing and commissioning of Alarm & Monitoring Systems and Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) at customer sites or shipyards worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning and handover of IPMS projects
Installation support and troubleshooting of IPMS hardware
Perform Harbour Acceptance Tests and Sea Trials
Engineering change management at site
Stakeholder communication (internal and external)
Site issue tracking and documentation of lessons learnt
Ensure safety compliance at all times
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree/Diploma in Electronics or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Minimum 2 years' experience in control and automation industry
In-depth knowledge of PLC, SCADA, sensors, structured programming, and P&ID diagrams
Willingness to travel and work onboard marine vessels
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Desirable:
Experience with CAD tools (Visio, E-Plan)
Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, Canbus, Profibus)
Experience with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Wago PLCs
Background in marine systems (power, propulsion, navigation, automation)
