Position Overview:

The Commissioning Editor is integral in shaping content strategies through in-depth market research and product conceptualization. This role involves developing innovative content solutions and ensuring they align with emerging industry trends and the needs of the target audience. The Commissioning Editor will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into viable content strategies, guiding the company's publishing direction in the IT and technology sectors.

Responsibilities

• In-Depth Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, gaps in current offerings, and emerging topics that are relevant to the industry. Utilize data to inform product development and ensure content aligns with audience demands.
• Product Conceptualization: Lead the conceptualization of new products, turning research insights into innovative content solutions that meet market demands. Collaborate with internal teams to design content that reflects the latest trends and resonates with users.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement content strategies based on research findings. Ensure that product development aligns with the company's goals and the evolving needs of the IT sector.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with insights, marketing, and product teams to transform research into actionable content plans. Drive cross-departmental collaboration to ensure the smooth execution of new content initiatives.
• Quality Control: Oversee the product development process, ensuring that all content meets quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Utilize data analytics and user feedback to refine product concepts, ensuring continuous alignment with market shifts and new technologies.

Requirements

• Research Expertise: Strong background in conducting market research and applying insights to guide product development and content strategies.
• Product Development Skills: Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing and developing new products based on research-driven insights within a publishing, IT, or technology environment.
• Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of trends in IT, technology, and digital publishing, with the ability to forecast and react to changes in the market.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial research through to final product delivery.
• Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively across teams and present findings to stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or Engineering is required – (BCA, B.Sc., B.Tech., B.E.). A master’s degree or research experience in a relevant field is a plus.
