Job Description

Commis Chef (Desserts & Patisserie) – Cheenikam Kitchen

Role Overview

We are looking for a Commis Chef – Desserts & Patisserie to assist in daily dessert production and support the pastry team in preparing cakes, pastries, and plated desserts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of cakes, brownies, cookies, desserts, and basic pastries
  • Support ganache preparation, fillings, and simple cake finishing
  • Help in weighing, mixing, baking, and portioning
  • Basic cake decorating assistance (crumb coat, simple piping, toppings)
  • Prepare mise en place for desserts and baking
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Assist senior chefs during bulk orders & peak production
  • Follow recipes and SOPs accurately

Skill Requirements

✅ Basic knowledge of baking & dessert preparation

✅ Understanding of patisserie basics

✅ Willingness to learn cake decorating & chocolate work

✅ Good hand skills and attention to detail

✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹9,538.95 - ₹28,362.53 per month
