Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Bhubaneswar for a Commis Chef 1 (Bakery) for the premium bakery outlet of WORLD BAKER of Pal Group of Hotels.. The responsibilities include preparing, baking, and decorating bakery items following recipes and quality standards. The role requires maintaining kitchen cleanliness and adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. Coordinating with the culinary team, managing ingredients inventory, and ensuring timely preparation of bakery products will also be key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and strong culinary skills with a focus on bakery and pastry techniques
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring cleanliness in food preparation and kitchen maintenance
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with kitchen staff and other team members
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Formal training or certification in culinary arts is preferred
• Previous experience in a professional bakery is a must.
• good knowledge of cake finishing and techniques.
