Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Assist in preparing and cooking continental dishes as per menu and standard recipes.
  • Ensure consistency, taste, and quality in food preparation and presentation.
  • Support in garnishing, plating, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
  • Maintain correct cooking techniques, portion control, and adherence to quality standards.

2. Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness

  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment in line with hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food ingredients following food safety standards.
  • Assist in daily cleaning and sanitizing of utensils, tools, and surfaces.

3. Stock Management & Ingredient Preparation

  • Prepare ingredients for daily operations (e.g., chopping vegetables, marinating meats, making sauces).
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols consistently.

4. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Chef de Partie and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively and assist colleagues during busy hours.
  • Attend daily briefings and follow directions from senior chefs.

5. Learning & Skill Development

  • Show enthusiasm for learning new continental cooking techniques.
  • Observe and assist senior chefs to gain practical experience.
  • Continuously strive to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

6. Quality Control & Standards

  • Ensure dishes are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Immediately report any quality issues to senior kitchen staff.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a continental kitchen preferred (Commis I / II / III level).
  • Strong passion for food and cooking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
