About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Underwriter with a background in General Insurance and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The role involves underwriting, evaluating, and analyzing commercial risks across multiple insurance lines to support our broking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, evaluate, and underwrite commercial insurance proposals (Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Motor Fleet, etc.) in line with company and insurer guidelines.
• Analyze client portfolios and prepare risk presentations for insurance companies.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to obtain competitive terms, quotes, and policy structures.
• Support the Business Development and Sales team in structuring tailored solutions for corporate and SME clients.
• Review policy wordings, terms & conditions, and ensure compliance with regulatory (IRDAI) guidelines.
• Assist in claims analysis, renewal reviews, and portfolio monitoring.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and internal teams.
• Contribute to MIS reports, documentation, and underwriting support for management review.

Requirements:

• Education: Graduate / Postgraduate (Commerce, Finance, Insurance specialization preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in General Insurance underwriting, preferably in a broking or insurance company environment.
• Gender Preference: Male candidates only.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of General Insurance products (Commercial Lines).
• Ability to interpret risk assessments, policy terms, and underwriting guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Pay: ₹218,320.70 - ₹538,037.16 per year
