Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Underwriter.

In this role, you will:

Participate in credit research and investigation of existing and prospective clients and counterparties under the direction of more experienced individuals within Commercial Real Estate Underwriting functional area
Review basic issues, policies, or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, and are related to low to medium risk tasks and deliverables
Receive direction from supervisor and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with Commercial Real Estate Underwriting managers, functional colleagues, and stakeholders, including internal as well as external customers

Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Commercial Real Estate Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to read, comprehend and synthesize data regarding property performance / market related information from multiple sources into one prescribed template.
Knowledge of mortgages, real estate market, and financial lending.
Sound understanding of commercial credit analysis techniques including cash flow analysis, financial concepts and valuation of collateral.
Good knowledge with excel skills.
Excellent communication skills, with good comprehension and business writing skills.
Analytical bent of mind and ability to draw pattern from discrete set of data.
Master Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
Any professional Finance/Accounting/Economics certification would be a plus

Job Expectations:

Ensure that all the sub-process SLAs are met
Ensure that all the procedure manuals, process maps are upto date
Work Tracking and Equitable Assignment
Develop understanding of the business beyond task / process based knowledge
Share Best Practices with team.
Proactive idea generation in automation / efficiency opportunities
Contribute towards Hard Dollar Save projects / Risk Reduction project, efficiency project
Overlook the training process.
Conduct functional trainings for TMs.
Study various application enhancements and promote culture of adoption within the team
Promptly answer all queries / questions from onshore.
Actively participate in all Team Meetings / Huddles
Participate in all applicable Org/Function level town halls
