Role Overview

The Counselling Mentor provides personalised guidance to students on academic, career, and university choices. The role involves one-on-one sessions, helping students make informed decisions, and supporting them through the emotional and strategic aspects of the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counselling sessions to assess student aspirations and challenges.
• Provide tailored advice on course selection, career pathways, and target universities.
• Help students craft compelling personal statements, essays, and resumes.
• Prepare students for university interviews and scholarship applications.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and track student well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, psychology, counselling, or related fields.
• Formal training in career or academic counselling preferred.
• Excellent listening, empathy, and motivational skills.
• Familiarity with global higher education systems.
