Strong experience with COBOL programming language concepts.
Knowledge of code quality, formatting, and best practices in software development.
Familiarity with COBOL’s testing ecosystem.
Understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous programming in COBOL.
Ability to work with architectural patterns and refactor code.
Strong debugging skills, particularly in memory and concurrency issues.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of overall work experience, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in COBOL.
Communication: Fluent in conversational and written English.
Preferred Skills
Additional experience with COBOL frameworks and libraries is a plus.
Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
