Develop CNC programs for turning operations using G-code, M-code, or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
Operate CNC machines.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
Optimize tool paths and cutting conditions for efficiency and quality.
Modify and fine-tune programs at the machine if needed.
Set up CNC turning machines, including chucking, tooling, and offsets.
Install and align cutting tools, workholding fixtures, and accessories.
Load raw materials into the machine properly.
Operate CNC turning centers.
Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Perform in-process inspection using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during machining.
Ensure all components meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Document inspections and maintain production records
Conduct basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Preferred candidate profile

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CNC turning programming (manual G-code and/or CAM software).
Knowledge of tooling, materials, and machining practices.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge is a plus).
Familiarity with control systems.

Experience:

2- 5 years as a CNC Turning Operator or Programmer preferred.
