Job Title: CNC Tool & Cutter Operator

Department: Production

Location: Chennai

TargetArea :Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore

1. Job Purpose

To operate CNC Tool & Cutter grinding machines for manufacturing carbide cutting tools as per drawing and quality standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

* Operate CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder (ANCA / WALTER).

* Load programs, set parameters, and run components as per job requirements.

* Select and set wheels, collets, and cutting parameters.

* Inspect tool geometry during production using micrometer, Vernier, and Zoller/Projector.

* Maintain accuracy, surface finish, and tool dimensions within tolerance.

* Perform minor adjustments and offsets during production.

* Maintain machine cleanliness, coolant level, and 5S standards.

* Report defects or deviations to Production/QA team.

* Follow safety and production guidelines.

3. Required Skills

* Knowledge of carbide cutting tool geometry.

* Experience with CNC tool grinding machines.

* Ability to read engineering drawings.

* Familiarity with measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Profile Projector).

* Good attention to detail and precision.

4. Qualification

ITI / Diploma / B.E in Mechanical or Tool & Die / relevant field.

5. Experience

2–5 years experience in CNC Tool & Cutter grinding (preferred).

Fresher’s with machine training may also be considered (optional line).
