Cnc Setter

Location: AVIVA INDSUTRIES, KNG PUDUR PIRIVU, COIMBATORE

Position Overview

The Setter is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining machines and equipment in the production line to ensure smooth operations, high-quality output, and minimal downtime.

This role requires technical expertise, precision, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up machines, tools, and equipment according to production requirements and specifications.

• Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, temperature, pressure, etc.) to achieve optimum performance.

• Perform trial runs and make necessary modifications to ensure product quality.

• Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues during production.

• Ensure proper handover between shifts by documenting settings and adjustments.

• Maintain tools, jigs, and fixtures in good condition.

• Coordinate with operators and helpers to achieve production targets.

• Follow safety guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and report breakdowns to the maintenance team.

• Assist in process improvement activities to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Tool & Die, or related field.

• Experience: 24 years of experience as a Setter in a manufacturing/production unit

(industry-specific experience preferred).

• Strong knowledge of machine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

• Good understanding of safety and quality standards (ISO, 5S, etc.).

• Problem-solving and teamwork skills.

• Flexibility to work in shifts.
