CNC Laser Operator

As a CNC Laser Operator, your primary responsibility will be to set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to ensure accurate and efficient cutting of materials. This includes creating and editing CNC programs using software like Fanuc, Siemens, or similar, as well as conducting quality checks on cut parts to ensure accuracy and quality meet customer specifications. You will also troubleshoot any issues with CNC programs, machines, and cutting processes, in addition to performing routine maintenance tasks on CNC laser cutting machines. Moreover, you will be responsible for training junior staff members on CNC laser setting, programming, and operation while continuously seeking to improve CNC programs, machine settings, and cutting processes to enhance efficiency and quality. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in CNC laser cutting, programming, and setting. Proficiency in CNC programming software like Fanuc, Siemens, or similar, as well as knowledge of CNC laser cutting machines and processes, are essential technical skills required for this position. Additionally, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key soft skills that will contribute to your success in this role. Preferred qualifications include certifications in CNC programming, laser cutting, or a related field, experience with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar, and knowledge of quality control standards like ISO 9001.
