CMOD application Support Engineer

As a CMOD application Support Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in evolving the digital landscape and driving innovation and excellence. Working collaboratively with fellow engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, you will tackle complex technical problems requiring strong analytical skills and detailed analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support for the service management function to resolve complex issues for specific clients. - Develop and enhance the support model and service offering to improve customer service. - Perform preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software, utilizing monitoring tools to identify and address potential issues. - Maintain a knowledge base with detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference and knowledge sharing. - Analyze system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify root causes of issues and provide resolutions. - Implement automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, and business continuity management. - Identify and address potential service impacting risks and issues, actively assessing support activities for efficiency. - Tune monitoring tools, thresholds, and alerting to ensure timely awareness of issues. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on knowledge of Unix, Oracle PL SQL, and ITIL (Awareness of Incident/Change and Problem Management). - Good communication skills and familiarity with at least one Alerting and Monitoring tool like App Dynamics/Kibana. - Desired skills include knowledge of Cloud Platforms, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The role is based in Pune. In this role, you will be expected to perform activities in a timely and high-standard manner, consistently driving continuous improvement. You will need in-depth technical knowledge and experience in your area of expertise, as well as the ability to lead and supervise a team, guide professional development, and coordinate resources effectively. Additionally, you will partner with other functions, take ownership of risk mitigation, advise decision-making, and demonstrate integration with the organization's products, services, and processes.
