CMM Programmer

The role of CMM Programmer involves operating CMM machines and maintaining work instructions for part setup and inspection. You will be responsible for programming CMM machines using ZEISS software based on Model Based Definition and 2D drawing. Analyzing blueprints, models, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and certification methods will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collect and analyze inspection data, conduct computations to determine results, and perform first article inspections. Communication with team members regarding inspection results, part status, and specific instructions is essential, along with participation in PFMEA activities. In this role, you will also assess product suitability for shipment to both the company and customers. Working closely with Engineering on MSA, Gage R-N-R, and statistical studies is required. As a key member of the production team, you will collaborate to ensure high-quality products and timely delivery. Supporting Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the company is another important aspect of this position. Additionally, you may be assigned other duties, reporting requirements, or special projects as needed. The ideal candidate should have 5-8 years of experience with Zeiss Calypso software, the ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and 3D models, and a functional understanding of GD&T, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.
