As a Clutch and Clutch Release System Design Engineer, your role involves designing, developing, and evaluating clutch and release systems for automobiles. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing automotive transmission clutch and release systems - Creating vehicle layouts for clutch, clutch cables & pipes, and other clutch release system components (both manual and hydraulic) - Conducting clutch part level evaluations - Performing vehicle level clutch performance and NVH tuning - Analyzing market problems and failures related to clutch & clutch release systems, including their detrimental effects on vehicle performance In terms of technical and functional skills, you are expected to be proficient in CAD and Drafting, preferably Uni-graphics. You should also have expertise in designer CAE and knowledge of Project management system/Engg. BOM system. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of: - Clutch & Release system specification design based on vehicle requirements - Clutch NVH filtration & interpretation of NVH data - Clutch parameters affecting vehicle level performance - Other damping solutions like Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF), Hybrid dampers - Wet clutches for Hybrid applications - DFMEA/Root cause analysis and other designing/analysis tools - Manual transmission sub-systems gearbox, gear shift mechanism, synchromesh system, clutch cable, gear shift lever assembly for holistic Clutch & release system spec design - Engine system to understand requirements for Clutch spec design,
