Cluster Credit Manager-Business Banking Underwriting

Role Overview: As a Cluster Credit Manager - Business Banking Underwriting in the Retail Underwriting department, your primary role is to assess, evaluate, review, and approve credit proposals for business banking relationships. This involves various products such as term loans, trade finance, CC, OD, etc. Your responsibilities include maintaining service level deliverables, effective portfolio management, and working on appropriate account strategies in line with the bank's risk appetite. Key Responsibilities: - Credit appraisal of loan applications within defined guidelines and making decisions or recommendations for approval to higher authorities. - Conveying a clear opinion and highlighting critical risks, along with suitable mitigates, regarding the acceptability of proposed transactions/facilities. - Conducting personal discussions with customers and visiting key customers and high-value relationships. - Portfolio monitoring, timely renewals, deferral management, and early warning signal (EWS) management. - Maintaining defined credit and end-to-end Turnaround Time (TAT) to provide timely service to internal and external customers. - Coordinating with counterparts in Business, Operations, Legal, Technical, and providing regular training to your team and the business team. - Ensuring all Management Information System (MIS) related to credit are prepared and published within defined timelines. - Demonstrating a positive, collaborative attitude, being a proactive communicator, and having the ability to evaluate potential business opportunities and lead the team towards insightful answers. - Focusing on productivity, TAT, portfolio management, hindsight/audit observations, and training and development as key success metrics.
