Cloud Solutions Architect

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Cloud Solution Architect with 57 years of experience to join our IT operations team. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping our modern workplace environment by designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive cloud solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, system monitoring platforms, and networking infrastructure.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end cloud solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure to meet complex business requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
• Develop comprehensive strategies for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, to optimize productivity and collaboration.
• Lead the implementation and management of Microsoft Intune for device and application management, ensuring robust security and compliance.
• Provide architectural guidance on the use of RMM tools (e.g., Datto, ManageEngine, N-Able) to enhance remote management capabilities.
• Develop and implement system monitoring solutions (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) to maintain optimal performance and early detection of issues.
• Collaborate with networking teams to design and manage networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching) and firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
• Conduct regular cloud cost optimization reviews and implement strategies to reduce expenditures without compromising service quality.
• Maintain and update cloud architecture documentation, ensuring alignment with evolving industry standards and organizational goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by staying current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 57 years of experience in a Cloud Solution Architect or similar role.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, identity and access management, virtual networking) and Microsoft 365.
• Strong architectural and hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
• Familiarity with RMM tools and system monitoring platforms.
• In-depth understanding of networking technologies and firewall management.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
