Cloud Operations Engineer

You will be joining Redis as an L1 Cloud Operations Engineer, where you will be a part of the first-line cloud operations team responsible for ensuring the health, availability, and stability of Redis Enterprise cloud environments on a global scale. **Role Overview:** As an L1 Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in monitoring Redis clusters, responding to alerts in real time, and performing basic remediation tasks to maintain the optimal functioning of the cloud environments. You will collaborate with senior engineers, follow runbooks and escalation procedures diligently, and provide clear communication and updates during incidents. **Key Responsibilities:** - Monitor Redis clusters and respond to alerts promptly. - Perform basic remediation tasks such as failovers, memory checks, and routine optimizations. - Follow runbooks and escalation procedures accurately. - Collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage. - Provide clear communication and updates during incidents. - Escalate issues to senior CloudOps teams when necessary. - Support documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of procedures. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, NOC, or cloud operations. - Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Linux fundamentals. - Familiarity with monitoring/alerting tools and incident workflows. - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a shift-based team. - Ability to remain calm under pressure, disciplined, and a strong willingness to learn. - Bonus: Knowledge of Redis or distributed systems.
