As a Cloud Database Engineer at TCS, you will be part of the Engineering function focusing on the development of platforms and solution accelerators. Your role will involve developing different Database migration solutions on various RDBMS platforms, creating Database Cloud-based solution accelerators, and translating business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing robust security measures to protect Database cloud environments and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting strategic projects by providing assistance in architecture and solution design, development, performance tuning, cloud security, and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Developing different Database migration solutions on various RDBMS platforms. - Creating and implementing Database Cloud-based solution accelerators to enhance development efficiency and speed. - Translating business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Implementing robust security measures to protect Database cloud environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations. - Providing support in architecture and solution design, development, performance tuning, cloud security, and cost optimization for strategic projects. Qualification Required: As a Cloud Database Engineer, the following skills are mandatory: - Deep understanding of different RDBMS / No SQL Databases working on Cloud Platform or in hybrid multi-cloud architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and exposure to cloud FinOps practices. - Good understanding of databases such as Oracle Database, Sybase, Ingress, DB2 on Unix platforms like Redhat, Ubuntu, AIX. - Proficiency in SQL Statements and Database Management including Architecture, Backup Recovery, Troubleshooting, and Access control. - Knowledge of database systems such as SQL, NoSQL, and MongoDB. - Familiarity with cloud security best practices, encryption, identity and access management, and compliance regulations. - Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
