Job Description

Manage the cloud infrastructure environment through cross technology administration (OS, databases, virtual Machine), execution of scripting and monitoring automations. Manage the environment incidents with a focus on service restoration. Act as operations support for all computer, network, storage, security, or automation incidents/requests.

Key Responsibilities

Building and supporting large-scale, business critical systems on Public Google Cloud Platform.
Working on Google Cloud Platform.
Hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage.
Creating scripting language preferably Python for automation of build tasks.
Handling configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet and Chef.
5 years of experience designing and managing MySQL databases with a focus on performance, security, scalability, reliability, high-availability, and disaster recovery.
Experience with database internals and diagnosing memory leaks, data corruption, replication, and database performance and tuning.
Experience with scripting, automation, and SQL/PL-SQL and programming languages (e.g., Python and Java).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience migrating mission-critical database applications from on-premise to cloud or running a hybrid cloud environment for large enterprises.
Experience in building and packaging database components in Kubernetes (K8s).
Experience in technical consulting on database design and architecture supporting large enterprise customers with high SLO and SLA requirements.
Experience working in a dynamic organization with extensive cross-collaboration across various functions.
