Role Overview: You will be joining Modern as a senior Cloud Architect, where your primary responsibility will be to act as a subject matter expert for our Enterprise Data Product Platform, DataOS. Your role will involve designing and implementing highly available, secure, and scalable cloud-native infrastructure across Azure, GCP, or AWS to support our data products and applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the foundation setup for DataOS architecture across multiple cloud platforms based on industry best practices and security frameworks. Your expertise will be crucial in leading stress, load, and performance testing efforts to ensure high system reliability and scalability under peak loads. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement highly available, secure, and scalable cloud-native infrastructure across Azure, GCP, or AWS for supporting data products and applications - Define and implement foundation setup for DataOS architecture based on industry best practices and security frameworks - Design and deploy secure VPC architectures, configure networking, security groups, load balancers, and VPN gateways as required for DataOS implementation - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Ansible for scalable, automated deployments - Establish and optimize CI/CD frameworks integrating with Git repositories, container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, and serverless architectures - Implement observability patterns including Centralized Log Aggregation, Audit Logging, Exception Tracking, Health Check APIs, Application Metrics, and Self-Healing systems - Lead stress, load, and performance testing efforts to ensure high system reliability and scalability - Apply multi-cloud security best practices covering IAM, encryption, secrets management, software supply chain security, and vulnerability management - Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to optimize cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, and compliance - Drive continuous improvements in DevOps processes, automation frameworks, monitoring systems, and incident response strategies - Mentor and guide junior architects and DevOps engineers in cloud-native best practices and DataOS-specific infrastructure standards Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical discipline - 12+ years of professional experience in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure, or DevOps roles - Deep understanding of VPC architecture, networking, load balancing, VPNs, firewall management, and cloud-native security principles - Certification in networking and proven experience is a plus - Experience with vulnerability management tools like Wiz, Rapidfort, Synk and proven experience in penetration testing and reporting including SBOM creation, threat modelling is preferred - Proven expertise in one or more major cloud platforms: Azure, GCP, or AWS - Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipeline orchestration - Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, networking, security, and Kubernetes-based container orchestration - Practical experience implementing monitoring and observability systems leveraging open standards - Familiarity with security standards like NIST, CIS Benchmarks, SOC2, and GDPR compliance frameworks - Knowledge of multi-cloud cost optimization, automated scaling, and failover strategies - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a client-facing consulting environment (Note: Additional details of the company were not present in the provided job description),
