As a Competitors Design Philosophy Decoder, your primary role involves decoding the design philosophy of competitors from an engineering and customer perspective. Your responsibilities will include: - Functional and concept benchmarking of suspension, vehicle body (vehicle, system & parts) of competition vehicles - Studying suspension, brakes, steering, and body systems/parts and integrating them with other systems - Performing cost and weight analysis and correlating performance with design - Preparing and releasing benchmarking sheets and analysis reports - Analyzing benchmarking ideas for implementation in MSIL models - Studying upcoming technologies through benchmarking and collaborating with engineering teams - Conducting root cause analysis and proposing countermeasures for design/quality issues In terms of technical and functional requirements, you should have hands-on experience in engineering and developing suspension and body components for passenger cars and UVs. You should also possess an understanding of: - Vehicle layout, systems/parts contributing to chassis & body performance - Design and validation of suspension and body parts in your work area (assembly, components, and peripherals) - Working and functionalities of suspension, brakes, steering systems - Applicable regulations related to suspension and body parts - Manufacturing and assembly processes of suspension and body parts - Experience in development project handling - Understanding of the Indian automobile market and customer voice - Desirable skills in ride, handling, and braking (RHB) testing and system/component benchmarking On the behavioral front, effective communication and analytical skills, flexibility, adaptability, good listening ability, leadership skills, and the ability to coach, mentor, and groom team members are essential for this role. Your skills should include proficiency in UGNX, MS Excel, and PowerPoint. The educational qualifications required for this role are a B.E/B.Tech degree and graduation/post-graduation in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering.,
