About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of building next-gen smart and lightweight EVs. From concept design to manufacturing and vendor coordination, you’ll play a critical role in turning our (CAS) models into real-world, manufacturable vehicles.

You will primarily focus on designing closures and interiors, developing CAD models of manufacturable parts including mountings, optimising panel gaps and alignment while collaborating closely with the design and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Derive panels from theDesign split lines for the car CAS model.
• Develop flanges, overlapping panels, and plastic mounting solutions.
• Create complete assemblies, including moving parts such as windows and doors.
• Assist in subsystem-level CAD development for the full car assembly, working closely with the design team.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in CATIA (preferred) and SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of automotive product development and manufacturing processes.

• Hands-on experience in surface modeling and plastic part design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering (or related discipline).
• Hands-on experience in mechanical design, with a strong background in surface and plastic design.
